      • Die in a Fire Charter

        Mission Statement
Die in a Fire is an end game guild that seeks end game progression. Die in a Fire, has experienced some of the hardest content in game pre-Burning Crusade such as C´Thun and Naxxramas. With that understood, we have a high commitment to each other and loyalty. We require maturity in all of our members, and a sense of personal success is a must.

We are an Eastern Time zone based guild that has several raid times to help meet your busy schedules.

Minimum Requirements to join Die in a Fire:
        Level Requirement: 70
Raid Availability: Must remain available to raid on a weekly basis. Being on for every single raid
is obviously too much to ask of anyone. Again, communication is key.
Ventrilo: Mandatory to listen and speak when needed.
Attitude: Keep it clean. We all enjoy a good joke but know when to shut up.
Forums: Members MUST be capable of checking the forums on a healthy basis. A lot of information is
kept up on the forums. Ignorance is not bliss.

        Member Code of Conduct:
Respect: As members, we all share the same guild. Whatever outlook we have for the game,
remain respectful of each other at all times. Disputes will happen, but know the difference between
        conflict resolution and pissing matches.

Devotion: Loyalty not only to the members but to the leadership. Through the time
spent together we develop bonds and friendships so treat these friendships with care. Patience is a virtue,
since we all need to have patience and understanding to accomplish any given task before us.

Adaptability: Members should be able to adapt to situations as they come. We never know
what is around the corner. Opinions are desired, so please share them when appropriate and respectfully.

Fun and Maturity: While guild members are encouraged to have fun and play the game as
they see fit, keep in mind that for timed events such as raids we expect everyone to play
        seriously and appropriately.

        Guild Rules
Play with honor and enjoy yourselves.
Remember that WoW is a game, and thus, meant to be fun, yet be respectful to everyone.
Be careful not to use excessive swear words, offensive slang, or racial slurs. Keep in mind
that we have minors in this guild.
If you have a problem, seek help from an officer. DO NOT, under ANY circumstance, make guild
chat or the message board your playground for badmouthing others.
Swearing or spamming in public channels will not be tolerated. Members and applicants alike
must realize that their words and actions in public channels reflect back onto the guild.
Begging for items or power leveling is strongly discouraged. If someone wishes to grant these
things to you, they will do so under their own motivation and volition.

        Leaving Die in a Fire

Leaving Die in a Fire should not be used as a temporary fix to solve any problems. Communication
is always key. If we don’t know something is broken we can’t fix it so, try to do what you can
before deciding this is the route you wish to take.

Any player that engages in such an act and decides to return will incur a penalty of DKP. This
will be done on a case by case basis and the exact math behind it can be discussed with
        Dexcay and Lorraina.

        Enforcement of the Rules

Here are some ways that the guild leadership may choose to enforce the above:
        A simple warning
        Demoted to Timeout rank
Being removed from a raid in progress
        Guild removal

        Raiding
Leader sponsored raids are posted on the private Guild forums. Start times depend based on the
raid so make sure to check the listings often however a pattern is usually kept. All online
members, if available, are highly encouraged to participate.

A general listing can be found here:

        http://www.diafguild.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=208

        Raid Consumables:

Those who join the raids are highly encouraged, and expected by the leadership of the
particular raids as well as fellow members to farm the required consumables for each raid.
Those who do not consistently bring their own consumables will be replaced by an equally
skilled member who shows up prepared. Not everyone has as much time to play and that is
understood, however good time management in-game is plenty of time to bring the required
amount of consumables for most raids.

A general listing of consumables can be found here:
        http://www.diafguild.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=162

Note: This listing is a guideline. Obviously you the
individual know what is most realistic for your class and play style so use your best judgment.
Lack of any consumables does not go unnoticed however.

        Raid Selection and Loot Distribution:

It is important to note that Karazhan raids are run by separate leaderships. Members who take
it upon themselves to form Karazhan raids are solely responsible for member selection, and loot
distribution. This allows and encompasses rules that the leadership of those raids derive,
however they should at all times remain fair. If at any time there is a breach of this trust
you should notify the leader(s) of that particular raid.

        Raid Conduct and Replacement:

Members who attend raids need to be willing to listen, follow directions, and play to the
best of their abilities. It is important to have fun at all times but it is important to
understand that raid times are suppose to be productive times. There is only so much time in
a given week, and members who are unable to perform duties given to them for whatever reason
may have to be replaced by someone who can due to time restraints.

Examples of why someone may be replaced could be, but is not limited to the following:
Not bringing the proper consumables, hogging vent time, not performing tasks given after
being explained several times, poor dps output, poor healing output, etc.

        Raid Specific Rules:
Pay attention to raid chat and follow directions made by the raid leader(s).
Never loot / talk to NPCs without being told to.
Do not AFK for long periods of time. If something does occur that requires your absence,
however, you are expected to contact an officer.
If you are unsure about something, ASK, don´t just stand there and wonder
what you are supposed to do.
